Provisioning Information

It is usual for charterers to eat on board for the first 1-2 nights, since the first 2 days of most cruises take in the southern end of Langkawi, which has little in the way of restaurants or shops.

There are restaurants ashore at most other anchorages around Langkawi. Those heading into Thailand should provision for the whole trip as supplies are difficult to find and restaurants are more scarce.

For this reason, Sunsail offer clients a food and beverage provisioning service, which is designed to save clients
the stress and time of taking a taxi into town and visiting 5 or more market stalls, and half a dozen scattered shops, to locate their groceries.

Orders are made through  www.sunsail.com, using our on-line
provisioning service. Orders should be made no later than 1 week before departure. Payment is made at the base on arrival cash, Travellers Cheques or Credit Card (credit cards are deducted in Ringgit).

In summary, we offer clients the following advice for their provisioning:
Bareboat 2-3 days provisioning (7 to 10 day charter)
Bareboat 5-6 days provisioning (14 day charter)

April to October - Eat on board 80% of the time.
