Sunsail Malaysia Base Information
Off the northwest coast of peninsular Malaysia just a few miles south of the Thai border, lie over a hundred magical islands – some just small outcrops of coral with a few trees and a sandy beach – of which Langkawi is the largest. This is the home of Sunsail's base in Malaysia, from where you can truly escape on a luxury sailing holiday aboard one of our immaculate yachts or catamarans. Sunsail's Malaysia Base is at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. From here you can explore some of the 99 islands which make up the Langkawi group with one of our Sunsail Malaysia charter yachts. Or you can choose to cruise the southern islands of Thailand, including the famous Tarutao and the crystal clear waters of the Butangs. The base has a selection of restaurants and there are very good hotels close to the base, which are recommended if clients want to spend a comfortable night on dry land during your sailing holiday. The town of Kuah is very close by and has many more shops and restaurants. Shore facilities include water, fuel, provisioning & beverages, toilets & showers, telephones, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, hotel plus clothes & dive shops.
